This painting could do with a bit more work on it but I'm uploading it anyway.
I'm working with a lot of these strange saint-female forms lately, not an explicity Christian reference but rather the recurring image of the iconagraphic goddess or servant of divinity with the sun or moon halo throughout different religious and tribal art. They all feature, white, ectoplasmic 'blob' dresses which I have turned into abstract forms that I have been playing with along with the abstract tree forms.
About 40 cm x 60 cm (i'm not sure), acrylic, oil, and red tree sap resin on canvas.

This seems very organic to me. The stems or trees remind me of glowing veins. It is like the inside of a body- and I don't just mean that because of the heart. It's dark and mysterious...Well I am sure that was your intention. 
I'd like to see a more refined version of this, but then again, it's pretty effective as is- it kinda has the feel of naive art.
